Itinerary

Day 01: From Alexandria Port to the Pyramids

Our representative, holding a sign with your name, will greet you at Alexandria Port. You’ll then be comfortably transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, a journey of approximately three hours, with rest stops as needed.

In Cairo, your adventure begins with a visit to the iconic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Next, you’ll marvel at the Great Sphinx, a monumental statue featuring the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, dating back to the time of Chephren. Your exploration continues with a visit to the Valley Temple, part of the pyramid complex of Chephren.

Your journey through time continues as you visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure, built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. After a day filled with history and discovery, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before retiring to your hotel for the night.

Day 02: Egyptian Museum and Salah el Din Citadel

After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will escort you to Salah el Din Citadel, home to the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. This mosque was designed by Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish architect who came especially from Istanbul to build this magnificent mosque for Mohamed Ali, who ruled Egypt for over 45 years.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Cairo, after which you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum. This museum features artifacts from the Pharaonic period and displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art, considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world. Among the 250,000 genuine artifacts presented

Your day concludes with a drive to Islamic Cairo, where you’ll visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s old bazaar, time permitting. Finally, you’ll travel back to Alexandria Port in an air-conditioned modern vehicle, ready for your final departure. With Sun Pyramids Tours, every journey is a voyage into the past, every moment a cherished memory.
